Your statements and what you make

You may convert only statements you are entitled to use, such as your own or those of a client who has asked you to. The files you download (Excel, CSV, OFX) are yours to use for any purpose, including commercial use, royalty-free and without credit. You may not copy, resell, mirror or repackage the site itself, its code or its design as a competing tool or service, or use automated tools to copy the site in bulk or to overload it.

Accuracy: check before you rely on it

The converter reads the text of a PDF and works out its table. Statement layouts vary a great deal and some will be read wrongly: a row may be missing, split or merged, and a date or sign may be misread. The balance check shows whether the numbers are consistent; it does not guarantee that every description, date or amount is right. Check the converted data against your statement before you use it for bookkeeping, tax, lending, legal or any other decision. Nothing on this site is financial, tax or accounting advice.

No warranty

The site is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss arising from use of the site or from errors in converted data, including data imported into other software. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Names and formats

The site is not affiliated with or endorsed by any bank or by any maker of accounting software. File format names such as PDF, CSV, OFX, QBO and Excel are used only to describe what the files are.

Content and licences

The site’s design, text and code are © StatementPrivate. Third-party code is listed with its licence on the credits page, and that licence applies to it.

Pro and other services

Pro does not exist yet. If it opens, it will have its own terms and prices, shown before you pay. We will not take payment before it works.

Third-party services

The site shows no advertising and loads no third-party scripts; see the privacy policy. We are not responsible for the content of other websites we link to.

Changes and contact
