This policy describes what happens to information when you use statementprivate.com. The short version: the bank or credit card statement you convert is read inside your own browser tab and is never uploaded; there are no accounts; the only form on the site is an optional email waitlist; and no advertising or visit-statistics scripts are loaded.

Your statements and converted data

When you choose a PDF, the file is read by code running in your browser (the pdf.js library, hosted on this site). The file, its name, its text, the transactions read from it, the balances, any password you type to open it and the files you download are not sent to us or to anyone else. We have no copy and no way to see them. The converter makes no network request while it reads and converts; the page shows the number of requests it saw so you can check, and the privacy explainer shows how to verify it yourself in your browser’s developer tools.

What you type in the table, the balance boxes or the options is used only in the open page. It is not stored: closing or reloading the page discards it. Nothing is saved in cookies or local storage by the converter. If you share a link to this site, nothing from your statement is in it.

The Pro waitlist

The only form on the site is the optional waitlist on the Pro page. If you submit it, we store the email address you type and the page it came from, use it to write to you once when Pro opens, and count interest. We do not sell it or share it. Write to support@statementprivate.com to have it removed. The waitlist asks for an email address only, never for any statement or financial detail.

Email

If you email us, we receive the address and the message you send and use them only to reply and to keep a record of corrections. Please do not attach statements or paste account numbers or transactions into an email; describe the layout problem instead.

Server logs

The web server our host operates records standard technical data for each request (IP address, time, page requested, browser name) for security and to keep the site running. These logs contain no statement data, because none reaches the server.

Advertising, cookies and visit statistics

The site shows no advertising, sets no advertising or analytics cookies and loads no third-party scripts. If that ever changes, we will update this policy first and will not add any such script to a page where you open a statement.

If you are in the EEA or the UK, we process the email you send us or put in the waitlist on the basis of your consent (waitlist) or our legitimate interest in answering you (email). You have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to the processing of personal data about you, to withdraw consent at any time, to data portability where it applies, and to complain to your data protection authority (in the UK, the Information Commissioner’s Office). Because we do not hold accounts or statements, the only data we can identify is an email address you gave us.

US state privacy rights (CCPA and similar laws)

Residents of California and some other US states may have the right to know what personal information is collected, to request deletion, to correct it, and to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. We do not sell or share personal information. We do not discriminate against anyone for exercising these rights.

Children

The site is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Retention and security

Waitlist addresses are kept until Pro opens or you ask us to remove them. Server logs are kept for a limited period for security. Email is kept only as long as needed to handle your message. The site is served over HTTPS.

Changes

We will change this page if what the site does changes, and update the date below the title.
